Adaptable teams

10th March, 2021

Do you have a rigid team that is challenged by the pace of change in a changing world?

Do you get frustrated by the missed opportunities that come from a team seeing things from a singular perspective?

What if you could develop your team to be more adaptable? For them to spot the changing context and shift their behaviours and mindset to capitalise on potential opportunities?

Why do we need adaptability?

Adaptability is a behaviour that can be developed. In short, it is a two-step process;

  1. Spot the change on its way
  2. React by flexing your approach before it is upon you

Within the context of business, individuals who have a strong ability to adapt can transform their approach to relationships, performance, mental health, transitions and leadership. The benefits of which far exceed the individual, they have an intrinsic effect on teams, the business, clients and profitability.

Quite simply put, without adaptability, we keep doing the same, and while that may work for a while, we all know (certainly after a year like 2020) that it won’t work forever (Blockbuster).

How do we develop adaptability?

Adaptability is not a fixed trait and can be grown with practice. It starts with self-awareness, in understanding one’s self comes the ability to recognise and develop the limitations of existing approaches and reactions. We use a number of tools to facilitate self-awareness in a safe and friendly environment that encourages our participants to practice through a number of scenarios. We then use a framework that supports movement which allows our participants to get the best out of themselves and then eventually others.

What is the result?

Adaptability is a lifelong skill that helps us respond to change. Change is here to stay, the word ‘normal’ no longer has a fixed meaning: therefore, adaptability is critical in the pursuit of high performance.

We provide game-changing performance insight that stimulates the right conversations and creates the perfect environment for change.
